Our Vision

At Alvaston Infant and Nursery School, we have a shared vision to create a school where children are equipped, inspired, celebrated, valued and empowered. Our welcoming, positive and caring ethos defines our school and is commented on by children, staff, parents and visitors. We aim to provide every child in our care with the most unique educational experience, developing their skills, knowledge, understanding and talents, and instilling within our children the core values of respect, tolerance, happiness and a lifelong love of learning.

The achievement of pupils will be monitored by race, gender and disability and we will use this data to support pupils, raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching. We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality, challenging bullying and stereotypes though P4C, PSCHE, collective worship and nurture times. We are proud of our school which champions respect for all. At Alvaston Infant and Nursery School, we believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here.
