A Picture News Special

Dear parents,

This week, we received a special edition of picture news. We feel that this is really important to share.

It may be an idea to talk to your children about the fact that around the world, black people have been treated unfairly. Talking to them about why the 'Black Lives Matter' campaign has started and why it is important is something that we believe needs to happen.

You might find the attached pdf useful, as a starting point for your discussions. The following news articles may also help to educate children. Whilst this topic is extremely sensitive and needs explaining in a age appropriate way, we believe that it is our duty to educate the children about this.

Throughout the week, Mrs Carnall the PSHE and Mental Health Lead will be sharing some stories and resources to promote diversity, friendship, equality and love, at a child friendly level.
